Artist's Comments

I recently purchased a Nikon D200 in anticipation of a two month documentary project in Israel and Palestine this summer. I am quite excited to start shooting with it. But before I do in any serious way, I wanted to go back through many of the photos I took with my beloved D50, Elanor. She was a wonderful camera. The next few shots I will be submitting will be in honor of my wonderful D50, a stellar camera that I will never forget. My first. The camera I lost my virginity to.

This shot is another shot from a two week trip I took to Northern Ireland last summer. If you would like to know more about the Northern Irish conflict or see more shots I took while there see: [link] or [link]

Full view appreciated.

Very nice. The vivid colours are amazing. The girl's shirt and the mural. It all comes together nicely. =)

I'm going to try go to Derry or Belfast in a few month's for some street photography, in particular these murals. Although most of them are gone now, compared to a few years ago.

I saw tons of them when I was there. It is sad how many have been destroyed or washed away...yet there are still plenty to shoot. Good luck!

The last time I was up there was 97, before the ceasefire waaaaay more was on the walls everywhere, with more vitriolic messages, because a some of them now have positive messages.
